Dr Kostas Giannoutakis
Kostas graduated with a Ph.D. in Computational Economics from Imperial College London in 2008 and a degree in Economics from the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece in 2003. As a Ph.D. student, Kostas did research on Digital Business Ecosystems and proposed methodologies for simulating and optimising agent-based systems. His research made use of optimisation methods and metaheuristics, computer programming and stochastic processes. He has also conducted research on innovation models and innovation theory. He is joining the Newcastle University Business School as a Research Associate for the SiDE (Social Inclusion through the Digital Economy) project.
