Zilia Iskoujina

Zilia holds her PhD in e-Business degree from Durham University, Durham Business School and MSs in e-Business degree from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland. Her thesis is on knowledge sharing in virtual organisations: the case of open source software communities”, where she studied various factors influencing knowledge sharing. She conducted her research through various qualitative and quantitative research methods and as a result of her studies she created a model for successful knowledge sharing inside open source software communities. Prior joining the Newcastle University Business School in 2010, during her PhD studies, she was involved in teaching activities for undergraduate students in Information Systems. Zilia is an Associate in Higher Education Academy. Before joining the academia, Zilia has had several years of working experience in a consultancy company and a diplomatic mission. Currently, she is working in the Research Hub for Inclusion through the Digital Economy on online communities. In 2009-2010, Zilia has make content analysis of Journal of Management Studies together with Professor Timothy Clark and Professor Mike Wright. In 2008, Zilia was a consultant researcher on the ESRC project “Evaluation of Doctoral Programme accreditations” at Durham Business School with Professor Timothy Clark.
